Auckland International College (AIC) is an independent Year 11-13 senior high school with an international reputation for gaining outstanding academic results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examinations. The primary focus of AIC is academic excellence. Students expect and receive an education which prepares them for study at the world's leading universities. Our students also achieve at the highest levels outside the classroom with golf, badminton, table tennis, martial arts and chess national champions amongst our student body. With fewer than 400 students, AIC students get to know each other and develop lifelong friendships spanning the globe.

All international students in New Zealand without a parent stay at the AIC boarding house. The boarding house is culturally diverse and grounded in common goals. The boarding facility exists to support students to achieve academic success. It operates under strict guidelines and a clear discipline system. New students are welcomed with a comprehensive orientation programme involving staff and older students in order for the new students to feel positive about their first experiences at AIC.
