James Hargest is the largest co-educational school in Invercargill, Southland and is located on two campuses. Our Junior Campus caters for Intermediate level with Year 7 and 8 students. Our Seniour Campus is situated at the opposite end of Layard Street is from Year 9 through to Year 13.
We have an established reputation for providing excellent educational experiences for International Students. We extend a warm welcome to students from all over the world, and appreciate the cultural diversity they bring to our college. As we have the latest resources, facilities and technology available we can offer a wide range of academic study courses, (including a number of languages) with a long tradition of excellence at the highest levels. We also have particularly strong Music, Cultural, Outdoor Recreation and Sporting programmes which encourage students to become involved in many new experiences.
