The University of Waikato Adams Centre for High Performance

The University of Waikato Adams Centre for High Performance is a cutting-edge, world-class facility for the nation’s best athletes. The facility contains all the essential elements required to service elite athletes and prepare them for competition on the world stage. It is equipped with the very latest in sports science and research capability. A full suite of sports treatment services is also provided within the centre, including physiotherapy, massage and podiatry.

 

The University of Waikato Sports Laboratory at the Cambridge Avantidrome

The Avantidrome is a world-class facility and is based at the purpose-built 250m wooden cycling velodrome, and is host to a range of other high performance sport and community facilities. The University of Waikato is the tertiary education partner of the Avantidrome, with a dedicated sport science laboratory, He Puna Oranga Tinana. The University of Waikato Sports Science laboratory provides specialist measurement services to endurance distance athletes as well as field testing for team sports.
