Te Kura Toi Tangata Faculty of Education is New Zealand’s premier research-led education institution, committed to enhancing education through the three interconnected disciplines of teaching, research and professional learning.

We push boundaries and continue to strengthen our teaching and research partnerships with schools and stakeholders to produce quality graduates in areas such as teaching, education and society, Māori education, leadership, human development and counsellor education. 

The faculty prides itself on a number of innovative firsts. It was the first to offer early childhood qualifications and teacher education online programmes.
