Global Pathways to New Zealand:
Students who successfully complete the required undergraduate papers at International Medical University may then be enrolled in the University of Otago’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Students can then graduate with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery after 2.5 years of successful full-time study with Otago (2.5 years + 2.5 years). There are 30 places for IMU students.
New Zealand Qualification
Most graduates in Dentistry enter general practice on their own or in association with others. Some undertake postgraduate study and research training in preparation for an academic career. Others obtain further experience and complete postgraduate clinical qualifications before entering specialist practice.
Students entering the UO need to meet the English language requirements for international students. Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 in the academic module (with no individual band below 5.5)
