Global Pathways to New Zealand:
The International Year One (IYOne) is a credit-bearing qualification that enables you to study the first year of an undergraduate degree at an NCUK Study Centre and upon successful completion, enter the second year of a wide range of degree courses at NCUK Universities. Students benefit from smaller classes, allowing thorough academic preparation and support to ensure a smooth transition into university study.
Entry criteria
Students entering the NCUK International Year One in Engineering (IYOne Engineering) qualification must meet NCUK’s entry requirements. Please use the IYOne Engineering entry requirements to check the information for your country/qualifications.
For entry to the University, you must complete the NCUK IYOne Engineering qualification with at least a score of 60% in each module and an overall average of 65% or above. The University will award qualifying students 120 points of credit (one year of credit) towards the following degrees:
1. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronics and Computer Engineering
2. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Engineering and Innovation Management
3. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronics
You will need to complete a further 360 points (3 years of study) to be awarded your honours degree.
You can use an overall Grade C or higher in English for Academic Purposes (minimum Grade D in an individual component) to meet the university’s English language requirements.
