The aim of this course is to develop learners’ English language skills at a level at which they can communicate effectively and appropriately in real life situations. The course also prepares students to be confident and accurate users in all four areas of English language. Self-correction should be almost a natural reflex and they should be able to keep up and contribute equally to a conversation with three or more native speakers. They should be able to manage the same type of reading material as senior secondary school students and publications and websites in English will not present any problems for them. On completion of this course students will have acquired the skills required to achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher. Entry Requirements: Minimum of 14 years old; Students are required to hold a current visa and medical insurance; Students are required to sit an internal placement test or provide validated evidence of English proficiency prior to start of the course to establish their entrant level, or students who have successfully passed the Kiwidotcom English (Upper-intermediate). Intake: Every Monday. Credits: 30
