Summary

This programme will give students broad introductory knowledge of the science, growing systems, and practices used in a variety of horticultural areas.

Students will gain knowledge of plant identification, maintenance and propagation in horticulture.

Entry criteria

Applicants will be required to have

  • completed a minimum of three years secondary education;
  • or have a gained a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 2 or above;
  • or equivalent.

English language requirements

Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5.5, with no individual band lower than 5.0; or equivalent.
