Our beauty therapy course teaches you how to become a beauty therapist so you can work in the beauty therapy industry. The beauty course includes facials, manicures, waxing, eye treatments, makeup, body massage, spray tanning, and even more.
It can take up to 2 years or more to achieve both the New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy and the New Zealand Diploma in Beauty Therapy at some other education providers.
At NaSA, you can achieve the certificate and diploma within 18 months so you can get out into the industry quicker with more qualifications.

Optional International Qualifications
You can sit international examinations also. These are extra expenses. You may need to complete further study and work.
Students must be at least 18 years old by the programme's start date. Have successfully achieved: the National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) (Level 1) or an equivalent qualification, or an NZQA-approved qualification or an equivalent qualification at a higher level, or If 20 years old or older and without any qualifications, show evidence of the ability to successfully achieve and succeed in the programme, and Communicate effectively in all areas of English to a suitable and appropriate level.
English Language Requirements
International students who have gained the following scores from one of the following English languages tests, taken overseas or within new Zealand within the last 2 years: : IELTS score of 6.0 or higher on the Academic Module Test; and a band score at or higher than 5.5; TOEFL - Score of 550 or higher on the Paper-Based Test (pBT); and an essay score at or higher than 5 TWE; Score of 80 or higher on the Internet-Based Test (iBT); and a listening score at or higher than 20; and a reading score at or higher than 20; and a speaking score at or higher than 20; and a writing score at or higher than 20; Score of 42 or higher on the First Certificate in English (FCE) or Certificate in Advanced English (CAE).
