TESOL (Certificate in Teaching English to speakers of other Languages) Course is suitable to non-native speakers of English. This Course provides the trainee with the necessary teaching skills required to teach. The course offers a mix of classroom theoretical learning and practical learning. This course can be either taken as a stand-alone course or in conjunction with General English classes if these are required. Entry Requirements: Student must be 18 years old or above and must hold a valid visa with a study permission; Applicants who do not have English as a first language will need to meet one of the English language requirements outlined by NZQA under "English Language entry requirements for international students. On completion of the TESOL course, graduate will be able: to and have experience of current, educationally sound understandings of English language teaching techniques; to resources and activities that will keep them abreast of ongoing English language-teaching developments throughout their teaching careers; to techniques that will improve their ability to be continuously competent practitioners of the subject they will be teaching English.
