This course is suitable for students from 14 to 18 years and runs during the 1st week of the NZ school term break. The focus is on having fun, making new friends and learning lifelong skills. What you will learn: Speaking, listening, reading and writing lessons; New Zealand culture and customs; Skills for lifelong learning. After completing the course you will be able to: hold conversations on familiar topics. You should be able to follow clear speech and in everyday conversation; listen to and understand factual information about every day topics and understand the main points of clear speech on familiar matters regularly encountered at school, in leisure etc; read and understand a description of events, feelings and wishes in personal emails well enough to correspond regularly with someone. You should be able to scan longer texts in order to locate key information, and gather information from different parts of a text, or from different texts; write personal emails giving news and expressing thoughts about abstract or cultural topics such as music, film as well as describe experiences, feelings and events in some detail. Levels Available: Elementary to Advanced.
