Entry criteria

Digital Marketing students must have completed:

  • NQF level 5 in business or related discipline, or
  • a 3-year Diploma, or
  • a Degree, or
  • an equivalent credential to enter this qualification.

In lieu of a formal qualification, all applicants may apply if they have at least three years suitable work experience. Under this criteria the suitability of the applicant will be assessed and decided by the NZIE Academic Board.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language are required to have an IELTS academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or TOEFL (pBT) score of 550 (with an essay score of 5 TWE), or TOEFL (iBT) score of 60 (with writing score of 18), or Cambridge English Examinations FCE, or FCE for schools, or CAE, or CPE with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill, or NZCEL Level 4, with the academic endorsement, or Pearson Test of English (Academic) with an Academic score of 50, or City & Guilds IESOL, B2 communicator or with a score of 66. Results must come from one test conducted in the last 2 years.
