The Bachelor of Applied Management degree has professional accreditation with Chartered Accountants New Zealand (CAANZ) and Certified Professional Accountants Australia (CPA Australia) for students who undertake the Accounting CA major.

Course Information:

Your studies will depend upon your chosen major - Accounting, Accounting (CA/CPA Pathways), Operations and Production Management, Project Management or Business Information Systems.

Our Business programmes are supported by the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA Australia), and the Institute of Management New Zealand (IMNZ).

Being involved in industry is an important part of our students’ journeys at UCOL. Work placements, internships, industry based assignments and case studies are all part of the process of getting our students industry ready.

Entry criteria

Students will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure they meet New Zealand University Entrance requirements.

Or equivalent academic achievement, such as:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Business (Small Business) - Level 4
  • New Zealand Certificate in Business (First Line Management) - Level 4
  • New Zealand Certificate in Business (Administration and Technology) - Level 4

Or on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Executive Dean.

Or a provisional enrolment.

Applicants whose first language is not English must have an IELTS Academic (or equivalent including TOEFL) score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5. TOEFL (iBT): Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18); Cambridge B2 First (for Schools), C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency: B2, C1, or C2 with score of 169; no less than 162 in each skill; OET: Minimum Grade C or 200 in all subtests; PToE (Academic): Score of 50 with no band less than 42. IELTS scores used must be taken from a single IELTS Test Report Form (i.e. combining scores from more than one test is not permissible).

Applicants under 20 years of age:
