Our Certificate combines theory and practical experience and will benefit you by enabling you to experience real life practical context.
Content
The New Zealand Certificate in Christian Ministry programme in comprised of seven components. These components are structured so as to give learners a logical learning progression and an overall understanding of the qualification outcomes.
Each component is made up of smaller teaching modules linked together by theme. Faith Bible College believes this method helps ensure progression and integration of learning and assessment throughout the programme.
Outcome
When you have graduated from Faith Bible College in the Certificate in Christian Ministry programme, you will have the foundational theoretical knowledge and practical skills so as to obtain employment as pastoral leaders and support staff. Graduates will be able to engage with and support their faith communities as guides, mentors, and leaders in a local church or workplace under limited supervision. Students who would like to study further can enrol for the :Level 5 New Zealand Diploma in Christian Studies programme.

Entry criteria
Applicants must be over 18 years (17 year-olds are accepted at the discretion of the College Board of Trustees). This programme is an open-entry course and there are no minimum academic requirements. Upon acceptance, learners are required to sit for the Adult Literacy Assessment Tool made available on the TEC website.
IELTS score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0; or TOEFL Paper-based test (pBT) score of 530 (with an essay score of 4.5 TWE); or TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT) score of 46 or higher (with a writing score of 20); Cambridge English Examinations: FCE or FCE for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill OET at Grade C in all subtests; Pearson Test of English (Academic): PToE (Academic) score of 42; City & Guilds IESOL: B2 Communicator With a score of 42; Language Cert: Communicator IESOL (LRWS) with PASS.
