Learn English to meet your everyday communication goals. Every student has an ILP (Individual Learning Plan) to help them achieve their goals. Students have the option of choosing a Daytime Intensive course, or an Evening Standard course. Daytime Intensive Course: The Communication English Intensive course is a daytime course that provides students with all English language skills including: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. Students studying in the daytime intensive course have the option of taking other courses such as the Barista Course and the Employment Skills English course (Intermediate level and above only). Daytime students also participate in Friday afternoon activities, where they have the opportunity to experience life in Auckland. AEA students enjoy a variety of activities every Friday afternoon. AEA teachers organise three or four activities on Fridays for students to choose from. The activities range from exploring outdoors through kayaking, rock climbing and sports or staying at school to enjoy some cooking classes, movies, board games or self study. Visiting local cafes, galleries and parks are also very popular. Activities are a great way for students to meet new people, practise English, and get a full New Zealand experience! Evening Standard Course: The Communication English Intensive course is an evening course that provides students with all English language skills including: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. With communication English you can: Function effectively in an English-speaking environment; Communicate with other nationalities; Enhance your work prospects; Have a pathway to further study; Enjoy travel, leisure and the media in English; Learn: Language (grammar, vocabulary) at your level; Skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) at your level; Strategies for improving your English; Information about New Zealand and the English speaking world.
