Whether you want to update your skills or take your first steps in caring for the environment, our range of environment qualifications will help you. You can begin your studies with a certificate or diploma in environmental management or environment and sustainability and the courses you study can be credited towards this degree or our double major in communication and environment.

This qualification will prepare you for a career in central or local government, public and private organisations, and working in planning, resource and environmental management, research, consultancy or environmental education.
You can study this programme part-time if you’re an international student living in New Zealand or overseas. If you’re living in New Zealand you will need to be in paid employment with a valid work permit.

You must be at least 17 years of age at the start of the programme and have one of the following:
IELTS test – a score of 6 (Academic) with no band score lower than 5.5
Cambridge English Qualifications - B2 First, or B2 First for Schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill.
