Bishop Viard College

Bishop Viard College is a small, student centered Catholic coeducational secondary school for Year 7-13 students in Porirua,  Wellington. New Zealand students from many cultures make up our diverse, vibrant school population. English Language Learning classes are available at all levels and our staff are highly trained and experienced. Strong pastoral and learning support systems are in place and BVC celebrates student achievement and rewards effort. In 2016 a new Sporting and Events Centre was opened and students participate in a wide range of sporting and cultural events. Bishop Viard College acknowledges and values the richness that students from different countries bring. Bishop Viard College is 20 kms from Wellington and close to train and bus services. The college has a newly opened gymnasium, a well resourced library and an onsite chapel for prayer and reflection. A school cafeteria offers healthy lunch options for students. A large number of our students participate in a wide range sports and the school teams are  currently local champions on both rugby and volley ball. The school has large well used sports grounds for games. Students also participate in a large range of cultural activities and we have performance groups representing several cultures.
