Making study work for you

  • Work while you study – as a taught master's student you will be able to work part-time while you study and full-time during holidays. Research master's students are able to work full-time all year. Find out more about working while you study.
  • As a master's student, you can support your partner's work visa. Your partner can then support a student visa for any dependent children, and they won't have to pay international student fees to attend our primary or secondary schools.
  • You will be eligible to work for up to three years in New Zealand after completing your master's degree. Find out more about New Zealand's post-study work rights.
