UC College of Engineering UK Scholarships

Purpose of award

To recognise and support top scholars from the United Kingdom to pursue study towards an Engineering degree at the University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Selection criteria

The awards are open to applicants who currently reside in the UK and have completed or are completing a university entrance qualification and have attended secondary school in the UK in the year of application (or in the year prior, for mid-year intake). Successful applicants must meet the entry requirements for the BE (Hons) Engineering Intermediate Year (Year 1) or receive Direct Entry into the First Professional Year (Year 2).

Number of awards offered

Currently , fifteen scholarships are available


NZD$15,000 per annum

Tenure of award

Up to 4 years

The online application system will begin accepting applications eight weeks before the closing date.


Additional information

The scholarship is not co-tenable with any other University of Canterbury award.
