Brownlie Scholarship

Purpose of award

For study towards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Canterbury.

Selection criteria

The Brownlie Scholarship is tenable for study towards the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Canterbury and shall be awarded to the first ranked candidate applying for a University of Canterbury Doctoral Scholarship.

Number of awards offered

One each year.

Value

$26,000 per annum plus tuition fees at the New Zealand domestic rate.

Tenure of award

3 years

Closing dates for applications

Closing dates for two rounds of applications - 15 May and 15 October each year.

An application for a University of Canterbury Doctoral Scholarship constitutes an application for The Brownlie Scholarship; separate application is not necessary.
