New Zealand’s capital city Wellington has gained a worldwide reputation for its expertise in the creative industries.

This is one of the reasons why Angela Pratt and Daniel Phan have both chosen to study at Te Auaha, the New Zealand Institute of Creative Studies in Wellington. 

For Angela Pratt, her dream is to work in model making for Weta Workshop, the creators of Mortal Engines, whilst Daniel Phan’s career goal is to become a commercial photographer.

At Te Auaha they’ve learnt model making, digital animation, film and photography, and graphic design – vital skills for launching your career in the film industry.

As part of their studies, Angela and Dan have created a model based on fantasy epic Mortal Engines. They have been guided in their model making by expert tutors with industry experience who have been able to replicate the real world of filmmaking.
